YANGON

It is the largest city in the country with nearly 5 million inhabitants. It was the capital of the country for many years before moving it to Naypyidaw in 2005. Its main attractions are the Chaukhtatgyi Pagoda and its large reclining Buddha, Shwedagon Pagoda, 98m high and emblem of the country but also Sule Pagoda, 2000 years old and located on a roundabout. Level market, the most famous Bogyoke Market is known for its colonial architecture and in which we find many shops.
