Day 1 - Bangkok

 Bangkok 

Arrival in Bangkok in the morning. Welcome by the guide at the exit door number 4 of the airport (same level as the one of your arrival). Then a total change of scenery guaranteed during this day that will take you to the Grand Palace (Wat Phra Kaew) and the Temple of the Emerald Buddha, protector of the city. Visit Wat Pho and its Reclining Buddha and Wat Arun (Temple of Dawn) and visit the Golden Buddha. Boat trip on the Klongs of Thonburi. Transfer to your hotel Furama Silom superior double room.

Visit of the temples of Bangkok

This activity will make you travel through the most famous temples of Bangkok. From the Wat Phra Kaew, Wat Pho to the Wat Arun, you will be amazed by the rich architectural culture of the capital of Thailand and all its wonders.

Exploring the klongs

Mahasawat is only about 50 kms from Bangkok in Nakhon Pathom Province, near to Mahidol University’s Salaya Campus. The Province of Nakhon Pathom is criss-crossed by many canals (klongs) and irrigation ditches. Mahasawat is built along one of these canals which is the life source of the community, and for many, the only way of commuting.

Day 2 - Bangkok - Dammoen Saduak -Kanchanaburi - Bangkok

Departure for Dammoen Saduak, colorful floating market (about 90 km from Bangkok). Passage through the house of the Coconerie. Continue to Kanchanaburi and visit the impressive World War II military cemetery next to the famous Kwai River Bridge. Visit the Jeath Museum. Overnight at your hotel.

Damnoen Saduak Floating Market

The most famous of the floating markets of Bangkok is Damnoen Saduak, about 100 kilometers southwest of Bangkok. This buzzing market is at its best in the early morning before the crowds arrive and the heat of the day builds up.

The JEATH War Museum

JEATH stands for Japan, England, America, Australia, Thailand and Holland, representing the nationalities of the prisoners of war (POW's) who were forced to work on the construction of the famous "Bridge On The River Kwai". The museum is on the bank of the River, inside Wat Chai Chumphon temple, and displays graphic images of the terrible conditions inflicted on the many young men that died and the many that survived to tell the story.

Day 3 - Bangkok – Ayutthaya - Sukhothai

Early departure for Ayutthaya, second historic capital of the country, city of 33 kings, whose ruins extend over 15 km² and have become a well organized archaeological park. Then, direction of the temple of the monkeys. These are respected and left at liberty. Arrival in Sukhothai, check into your hotel Charme Deluxe room. Free evening.

Ayutthaya

Founded 1350, Ayutthaya became the second Siamese capital after Sukhothai. It was destroyed by the Burmese in the eighteenth century. Its remains, characterized by the prang or reliquary towers and the gigantic monasteries, give an idea of its past splendor.

Lopburi

Lopburi was one of the centers of the Dvaravati culture. She then came under Khmer domination at the time of the kingdom of Lavo, and was the second capital of the Kingdom of Ayutthaya in Narai the Great (Ramathibodi III reign 1657-1688). He built a large palatial assembly, the King Narai's Palace, which is now a museum.

Day 4 - Sukhotai - Lampang - Chiang Mai

Morning visit of the National Archaeological Park of Sukhothai (listed by UNESCO as a World Heritage Site), the first capital of Siam (1250-1350). Visit the remains of the ancient city, temples Mahathat, Sa Sri, Sri Sawai and Sri Chum. Then drive to Chiang Mai. Visit the city of Lampang, also known for its horse-drawn cars arriving from Bangkok in 1929: an original means of locomotion. Visit Wat Phra That Lampang Luang, founded in the 5th century and located 20 km southwest of Lampang. It is undeniably one of the most beautiful temples in Thailand. Sukhothai

Sukhothai was the first capital of Siam founded in 1238 and ending the Khmer kingdom of Angkor Wat. Sukhothai was listed in 1991 as a World Heritage of Humanity. It is more famous for his art than for his political achievements.

Wat Sri Chum

Known as the temple of the bodhi tree, Wat Si Chum was built in circa 13th Buddhist century. The highlight is the graceful Buddha sculpture enshrined inside the remaining structure of the square mandala building. Located 1,500 meters from the north of the WatMahathat, Wat Si Chum is surrounded with the long moat acting like a boundary.

Visit the several buddhist temples of Lampang, with a Lanna-style architecture.

Day 5 - Trekking

 Chiang Mai 

Departure from your hotel in Chiang Mai at 8.30 am, visit of the Orchid and Butterfly farm, on to the local market of Mae Ma Lai, to buy provisions for the tour. Stop at Mok fha waterfall. You can take a swim or just relax and take in the wonderful views. Lunch in Baan Pang Lang, in a local restaurant. After lunch, drive to Baan Mae Sea, where we shall start our trek into the rainforest.
After trekking for 2 - 3 hours, we shall reach the Karen village of Baan Pong Noi. You will spend the night in a simple wooden hut on the edge of the village, you will have the possibility to shower and freshen yourself up while we prepare your evening meal. Before it gets dark you can explore the village and take in the different surroundings. You can sit on the deck in front of you hut near a small creek and enjoy your first evening in the forest.

Trekking

The most beautiful trekking in the northern province of Thailand Chiang Mai are located in Mae Taeng and Mae Wang: waterfalls, elephants, plunging valleys and wild nature. This region is also known for its large populations of ethnic tribes such as the Karen, Akha, Lisu and Lahu.

Day 6 - Trekking

 Chiang Mai 

After breakfast we shall be trekking through the rainforest for about 3 hours, until we reach the next camp for our lunch. After lunch we shall continue our trip on a bamboo raft to the Lahu village of Baan Pong Ngan. You may want to take a swim in the shallow river or take a shower or just sit on the large deck above the river while your meal is being prepared and feel the atmosphere of your trip so far.
You can spend time on the deck were where you can fly a wish lantern enjoy a sing song with us next to the camp fire or just relax and enjoy the last night of your trip.

Day 7 - Trekking

 Chiang Mai 

After breakfast we will start our rafting part of the tour. From the Lahu village, we will raft along the Mae Tang River for about 2-3 hours toward our next destination, the Shan Village.
Each bamboo raft can accommodate 6-8 people and their luggage, placed on a rack in the center of the raft, safe from the water.
On reaching the Shan village you can take a shower to freshen up and again experience an authentic Thai lunch. Following lunch you can take a little time to explore the small village, you can walk across a long hanging wooden bridge, where you can bid farewell to the rainforest. From the Shan village we have a short 20 minutes’ drive to the small elephant camp were you will have a chance to feed the elephants and walk amongst them.
We will then drive back to Chiang Mai and arrive around 5 or 6 pm depending on the traffic.

Day 8 - Chiang Mai – Doi Suthep - handicraft - Bangkok

Tour to Doï Suthep, situated at an altitude of 1000 meters, from which you will enjoy a spectacular view of the countryside around Chiang Mai underneath. 290 steps will lead you to the monastery. During your visit of the local handicraft industries you will discover the age-old techniques for hand-painting paper umbrellas and manufacturing silk, silverware and lacquer ware.Late afternoon departure by sleeper train (2nd class berths) to Bangkok.

Doi Suthep

The Wat Phra That Doi Suthep is a Buddhist temple in Chiang Mai province, Thailand. It is often referred to as Doi Suthep although this is actually the name of the mountain on which it is located. Located 13 kilometers north of the city of Chiang Mai, it is a sacred site for the Thais. From the temple, you will have an impressive view of the city of Chiang Mai.

Day 9 - Bangkok

 Bangkok 

Arrival in Bangkok. transfer to your hotel. In the evening transfer to the airport for your return flight.
