IPOH

Capital of the state of Perak, Ipoh is a beautiful city with colonial charm that has prospered thanks to tin deposits in the Kinta Valley. Today, the "city of bougainvillea" has a charming colonial district, temples and Buddhist caves, not to mention the royal town of Kuala Kangsar and Kellie Castle. It served as the setting for the movie "Indochine". The city takes its name from one tree to the deadly sap that is used by Orang Asli for hunting with blowpipes.
